Sevastian attempts to take the fear out of book writing by pointing out what is necessary to hone the skills necessary to craft readable prose in book format, and take the fear out of writing a book.
"Anyone Can Write A Book...Even You!" by Sevastian Winters: An Ebook Review
What is in This Ebook?
Sevastian breaks up book writing into two main categories: fiction and non-fiction. The non-fiction section explains that anyone with skills particular to a certain trade has the ability to write a book, that the trick to non-fiction is the outline.
Using a cookbook as an example, Sevastian crafts an outline starting with a rough draft, fleshing it out into a blueprint worthy of publication. Fill the blanks in the draft and the fledgling writer would have a cookbook.
Moving into the fiction section, Sevastian passes on the advice that was given to him by an agent when presented with his first novel, then demonstrates the difference wording can make.

What are the Best Features of this Ebook?
The reviewer's favorite parts of this ebook were the examples. I found myself sympathizing with Nancy and hungry for more after his brief snippets! Truly, Mr. Winters outdid himself on the examples within this text.
The non-fiction section demonstrated that one can truly craft books by writing about one's passion, and left me hungering for more information about the painter who knew the best methods of his craft from long experience. The outlining tutorial was brief but satisfactory in demonstrating the order needed (like beginning AT the beginning) when crafting non-fiction works.
"Anyone Can Write A Book...Even You!" by Sevastian Winters: An Ebook Review
This reviewer was left stunned by the abrupt ending of this ebook. A single concluding sentence after a brief list of fiction instructions left this reader surprised and disappointed. While the reviewer does not doubt the benefit of Sevastian's advice, she would hope that in future editions of this work that a) the books were given proper citations to better enable readers to locate them, b) the prose be slowed down from the breathless pace it takes, and c) more information on the art of honing the fiction craft.
Perhaps the priceless gem contained in his work "Starting Your Story With a Bang!" could be moved over to this one and elaborated-it would have added value to the fiction section.

Where Can I Get a Copy of this Ebook, and How Much Does it Cost?
This ebook can be found on the Self-Publishing Resource Center and on Amazon for the price of $2.99.
Overall, this reviewer was disappointed with the quality of this work. After reading his other pieces, this reviewer knows that Sevastian is capable of doing much better. He more than adequately demonstrated his mastery of the fiction craft by his gripping examples, but failed to demonstrate how to write fiction in an adequate manner. As a result this reviewer is saddened to say that she rates this work 2 stars out of 5 stars possible.

Post a CommentGreat!
Hmm, glad to hear about this book :)
Aww, thanks Lyn!
Part of being a great friend and fellow writer is being able to be honest with a person. If you had told him it was good when you didn't feel that way, it may have boosted his ego, but wouldn't have been helpful. You are a true friend for saying what you feel. :)
This one was hard to write, but I know Sev can do better. He is an excellent writer and I have nothing but respect for him.
