On the front of bottle it reads, "Herbal vitamin formula. Rejuvenates dry brittle hair. Especially for chemically treated hair."
I have long curly hair that tends to be dry, especially at the ends. My hair seemed to just slurp this stuff up! I started using it before I read the directions, and just applied directly to the ends of my hair. I could immediately notice a positive difference in hydration, shine and manageability of my hair. I have been using this product as a leave in conditioner, but technically you are supposed to rinse it out after applying.
Here are the directions found on the back of the bottle:
"Rinse freshly shampooed hair thoroughly with warm water to open the hair cuticle. Dispense an appropriate amount of essential oils for hair into the palm of your hand, using more for coarser, longer hair. Distribute evenly through hair using fingertips and leave on for one minute. For extremely dry, damaged hair use a plastic cap for up to five minutes. Rinse thoroughly, dry and style. For extremely fine hair, you may shampoo lightly after applying. Resulted are immediate. "
In order to conduct a proper review, I decided to try it as directed as well. Aphogee Essential Oils for Hair was very nourishing to my hair whether I rinsed it out or left it in. From the first time I tried it, I noticed an immediate improvement. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and my hair feels much softer and doesn't get tangled as easy. The ends of my hair are looking healthy and hydrated. It also creates more shine in my hair and has not weighed my curls down. I respect the fact that this product lives up to it's claims and actually delivers.
Here is the description found on the back of the bottle:
"Aphogee products are ph optimized for maximum results and contain our exclusive prophytamine complex , utilizing precise levels of protein for strength, emollients for shine and humectants for softness. Repair and protect your hair with Aphogee. Aphogee Essential Oils for Hair enlivens dry, brittle hair, restoring shine and helping to protect against styling damage."
The only negative aspect about this product is the cap of the bottle. Once you remove the cap or tip, it will not snap back on easily. This might be a problem when traveling or carrying in a purse as it could spill. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this product as a 9. I also like the fact that it has no scent. I plan on purchasing this product on a regular basis to keep my hair in excellent condition.
