The less you feel is owed to you the less you are obligated to do; the more you feel you are owed, the more obligations.
It is not non-conformity that is rebellion, but conformity. Ultimately, any attempt to mold man to a certain pre-determined cast qualifies as a revolt against nature itself.
When I refer to myself as an anarchist it is not violence I am endorsing, rather it is violence I am opposing; for the state always and everywhere is a violent agent, no matter how benevolent its ends.
Peace is not a dream far off, for the fact that others are violent does not excuse you from taking the first step.
If you like smoking, then smoke. If you like eating, then eat. If you like danger, then revel in it. What can a few extra years add to your life besides delaying the inevitable?

The greatest society is not that takes seriously the concept of majority rule, but one with a profound respect for the fundamental rights of even the most unpopular of all individuals. It is out of this that the greatness of America was born; let us not lose sight of that.
A man who has his whole life planned out in front of him is the most miserable man indeed, for he rejects all that is beautiful in life, the mysterious, the unknown.
Society was clearly meant to grow organically and because all regimentation is attempting to make unnatural the natural it is doomed to fail its its fundamental goals.
