Aphorisms and Poem

Deonils
1. It is better to be thankful to a messenger, even if the information she deklivers comes too late (In my case, too late to save my turkey tail from turning red and blue!)

2. Have you been totally understood, even when you may have messed up, with communication? Praise the Lord, I have ... friends on AC understood my "nosy" inquiries were genuine and never pointed to my having not read an eralier piece about changed developments in their lives.

3. This one is supposed to be funny, so excuse me if it is in poor taste: When I observe the day the Lord has set aside for rest and prayer, I call it the Sabbath. When I fail to be consistently observant of the Day of Rest, I call it my weekend.

POEM and THANKSGIVING
The Book of John has been my favorite Gospel
From the beginning, from the Logos, the Word
Through the co-creation of the world, Emmanuel
Is there with the Father, and promises a Holy Ghost
The "paraklete" or advocate (in Greek) afterward
To Chapter 14: Let not your heart be troubled
For He goes on to prepare a place for saints
(Those who accept His Divinity, equal - not second -
and follow His Commandments) : the mansions
in His Father's House are rooms for each one
And we feel reassured: the Trinity helps all humans
As we negotiate the waters, storms and boats on
Earth's uneven surfaces ... but another John
Has understood my words, poorly chosen, badly-timed
And I could have asked the messenger (angel?) why so late?
But instead I am thankful - some knowledge is better late
Than never ... but my heart wil;l be judged by the Lord, I wait
And say Happy, Happy Thanksgiving to US and UK and all.
