Aphrodite Jones Speaks Out About Michael Jackson

Nearing the One Year Anniversary of His Passing, the King of Pop's Legacy Continues to Improve

With Aphrodite Jones' new report , Michael Jackson's legacy continues to grow in stature as the calendar moves towards the one year anniversary of his shocking death last June 25th.

Jones, an investigative author who changed her mind about the sexual misconduct allegations against the late King of Pop after she investigated the story in detail, this week released an investigative report on the allegations against Jackson.

On the latest installment of her "True Crime with Aphrodite Jones" series, Jones details the accusations made against Jackson.

Jones not only defends Jackson, but, even more provocatively, she blames those around Jackson, including British journalist Martin Bashir, for being contributing factors to Jackson's death.

It seems that in the now infamous expose on Jackson, Bashir was expected, at least by the Jackson camp, to provide a piece that would be ultimately friendly to Jackson. Jackson was reportedly extremely disturbed, and ultimately saddened, by the way in which he was portrayed. Jackson said many revealing things during the interview, but apparently felt after watching it that it was taken largely out of context and edited for effect.

For her part, Jones has said several times that when she first began investigating the late King of Pop, he generally believed the worst of the allegations.

As she took the time to truly investigate the facts surrounding the case, however, she grew to believe that actually Jackson was a victim of circumstance and those around him who looked to take advantage of him and his occasionally eccentric ways.

Jones is known, and has written a book on the subject, for believing that there was basically a media conspiracy surrounding Jackson. That the reporting of the allegations was good for business and that even when major holes began to appear in the story, the media largely ignored them to protect their business interests and reputation.

Her point is that several entities, from his management to the media to those he believed close to him, all combined to put him in an untenable and ultimately unhealthy situation.

Jones gave an interview to the Larry King blog in which she expanded upon the points made on her show. She believed that the commitment to the concerts in London were the final 'straw' in many ways, for Jackson.

In part, she said, "This guy's voice was there, his dancing was there, his moves were there. But he lost the ability to perform and do what he loved to do because of all these allegations and insanity that swirled around him for years. And the Bashir [documentary about Jackson] and the trial and the charges made it even worse. He couldn't trust anyone in the media and he didn't even want to perform in the United States - that's why he was doing it in England."

While the reporting of people such as Jones come too late to help Michael Jackson, his legacy strengthens and his fans are comforted to know that most are taking another look at him.

Recent months have seen the so-called establishment again embracing Jackson. Early this year, Disneyland announced that it was re-opening the Jackson themed Captain EO ride, which was closed when the allegations surfaced.

In addition, the Grammy Awards dedicated a significant portion of its show to honor Jackson, albeit posthumously.

And, as the one year anniversary of his death approaches, Jackson fans worldwide are planning global tributes to the man, with one notable example being a Facebook group trying to get one million fans to pledge to light a candle at the same time around the world on June 25.

While no more new music will be coming from Michael Jackson, his legacy and reputation have strengthened in the months since his passing to the point where now new generations will be introduced to his work and his message.

As a result, his fan base seems poised to continue to grow all around the world.

The majority media still did not pick up the story, instead the picked up some bogus story probably made up by TMZ again.

And in the process of giving more attenion to the false claimes of some fame seeker, they tottaly ignored the True Crime Special that aired explain the trial back in 2005. why did they ignore it??

I said it time and time again, as soon as somethng positve about Jackson comes up, the media always finds a way to turn the positve into a negative, or this this case bury a perfectly good documentary under salatios rumors.

Truth cant stay hidden. Media has got to to better that this.

Thank you Ron, for keeping the Dream Alive. We Have to stick together.

"The so-called establishment" are not "embracing" MJ but the $$ -- for Disney, it's only too obvious, witness (those who went to see the movie themselves) say there is line up to see Captain EO, the Grammy was struggling with ratings.
They (including MTV) are all as shameless as the media.

Thank you for a great show. So many of us that love Michael knew he could never harm a child. So many that didn't know Michael now have a glimmer of what was done to him. Clearly he is The KIng Of Pop! We LOVE YOU MICHAEL!

Jones' report is based on thorough & meticulous research, including court documents, study of all evidence, testimony, interviews with jurors & key witnesses, accuser Janet Arvizo's unsavory history, etc. She correctly arrived at the inescapable conclusion that Jackson was completely innocent and in fact, was viciously victimized not only by the media & Sneddon--who spent millions of taxpayer dollars vainly trying to find a single bit of damning evidence--but by many who he'd trusted & believed to be his friends.

I agree with cawobeth. The show was a breath of fresh air, but I'd like to see another show that focuses more on the evidence tht MJ was framed. Like Gavin Saunders, I also owe MJ and his fans an apology. Even though I met MJ years ago at Neverland and saw nothing wrong with how he interacted with children (he seemed joyful and compassionate around them), I didn't do any research on the cases against him until after he died. My daughters fell in love with him and his music last summer and they asked me if he really hurt children. I told them I wasn't sure and that we should do some research. I was shocked at what I found and now believe 100% in his innocence. It was a real teaching moment for my daughters--and for me.

Thank you Ms. Aphrodite Jones & God bless you!!! Finally the truth is starting to prevail. We love Michael so much and we have always known he would never do anything to harm anyone. He is all about love and healing the world. Sadly, he is still the victim of media trash and its time to for people to fight back and put an end to this madness once and for all.
I pray that Martin Bashir gets his fair justice in this life, then burns in hell for eternity! God is great, justic must prevail .. and what goes around comes around!
