I keep finding myself saying I'm sorry to you
but it seems like I am so sensitive to everything.
When my feelings get involved
in a conversation,
when I tease you
and it hurts that you don't laugh,
when you laugh
and I'm not really trying to be funny
I'm sorry if my feelings
are a burden to you
but I cannot just make them go away
I cannot make you love me
if you don't
and I cannot go on pretending
that you don't mean anything to me
when you do
But I hate always saying that I'm sorry
because it feels like I'm apologizing for loving you.
