Apolo's is a beautifully decorated restaurant on the main street of a little town, Ramsey. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's decorated beautifully with French doors all around. lt is handicapped accessible due to a ramp leading to the dining area. There is both street parking and parking in the rear. This is a family owned Mediterranean restaurant. It seats 60 so it a nice cozy place. They also cater and do private parties. They will anniversaries, small weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal / baby showers, baptisms, confirmations, birthday parties, bar / bas mitzvahs and family reunions but remember this is a small place.

The wait staff is so personable, it's like visiting with well liked friends or family. It's very personal service. Our waiter jokes with us, checked back frequently to make sure we were happy with our selection and was incredibly attentive. He described anything we weren't familiar with in delicious detail.

The Continental and Mediterranean cuisine includes succulent dishes such as Grilled Honey Crusted Salmon, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, La Mar Seafood Assortment (lobster tails, mussels, shrimp, and scallops), Surf & Turf which combines fillet mignon with lobster tails, and Baby Lamb Chops.

Lunch is served from 12:00 until 3:00 Monday through Friday. You can get assorted sandwiches for just under $10.00. Choose from roasted Turkey with Mozzarella cheese, Red Pepper, Arugula and a Basil mayonnaise. Just delicious. or Veggie Wrap, chicken salad and more. Go for broke with the Kobe Beef Hamburger at $14.00. You can get sweet potato fries as a side and each sandwich comes with a really fresh, interesting salad.Speaking of salads if you want to eat light there are beautiful salads with things like Nicoise olives, toasted Pignioli nuts, Radicchio, or an Seared Loin of Tuna. Each salad offers wonderful combinations of ingredients. Share one or have your own. They run $8.00 - $14.00. Baba Ghanoush, Spinach and Cheese Boreg, Falafel and Hummus are here for you to enjoy with pita if you want something very Greek..

After trying Apolo's for lunch we had to go for dinner. We went on a Friday night and we were the only people there. It began to fill up about a half an hour later. For dinner you can start with a wonderful salad or soup. We opted for the Moroccan Seafood Soup delectable! Big chunks of seafood and a wonderful flavor. The aroma alone was impressive.

We followed with seafood skewered in shish kabob style with rice pilaf and vegetables. Hubby chose the meat kabob but found it a tad bit salty but that's an individual preference. The seafood kabob offered Shrimp, Salmon and Mushrooms in a Pomegranate sauce and for that we asked for more veggies in place of the rice. Main courses run around $22.00-$25.00.

Dinner is served 5 p.m. through 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Come in early and you can get the early-bird special a three-course meal for $12.95. An incredible bargain.I have to say Apolo's is a gem. It's been given 5 stars in local reviews and I agree totally.
