Ingredients

Serves 12
1/4C Milled flax seed
1/4C Wheat germ
3/4C Whole wheat flour
3/4C White flour
1 Egg-beaten
3T Vegetable oil
4T Apple sauce
1/2C Sugar
2tsp Baking powder
1/2tsp Salt
1/2tsp Baking soda
1 1/2C Finely chopped apples
1/2C Milk
1/2C Chopped nuts
1T Honey
1/2 cup Rasins
dash Cinnamon (optional)

Directions for Apple Bran Muffins

Blend together dry ingredients. In separate bowl combine egg, oil and milk. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and stir until just blended. Stir in apples, rasins and nuts. Batter will be thick.

Fill well greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
