Apple Cider Vinegar: The Best Home Remedy for Plantar Warts

After four years, my plantar wart is almost gone!

Back in 2003, I noticed a plantar wart starting on the pad of my foot. Unfortunately, I thought I couldn't do anything about it at the time, because I was pregnant. I knew the doctor wouldn't do anything about it at the time and I didn't realize there were things I could use right out of my own refrigerator. So, after my baby was born, I rushed to the doctor to have the wart frozen. Well, I did this twice and it didn't work either time!

Over the course of the last four years, I have used every single over the counter medicine for plantar warts, including the freeze it at home method. I also spent six weeks under the care of a foot doctor, using prescribed wart acid and powder, but that didn't work either!

Since I have been trying to stay off the pad of my foot for the last four years, I have developed a bone spur in my heel and an ingrown toe nail, which are both painful. After all that, I had really had enough and about three months ago, I started searching online for home remedies. I found everything from garlic to baking soda, but I didn't see any results after a few days, so I searched some more. Finally about four weeks ago, I found Apple Cider Vinegar as a treatment for plantar warts. I figured why not, I've already spent weeks with everything from garlic slices to duct tape stuck to my foot, why not apple cider vinegar as well?!

Each night before I go to sleep, I soak my foot in warm water for about 15 minutes, then I take each cotton end from a q-tip and dip it into raw organic apple cider vinegar and secure it to the wart with a band aid. I have found that plastic band aids work the best to hold the cotton and the vinegar onto your foot. Then, when I wake up each morning, there is a layer of dead skin that peels off very easily.

After using this method for just four weeks, my wart is almost gone. I am able to walk flat on my foot again without pain shooting up my leg! I recommend the apple cider vinegar to anyone who is having trouble with plantar warts! Fighting this thing for four years, has driven me crazy and I am so grateful to finally have it almost gone! I would have to guess that if I had used this method back when I first found the wart, it would have been gone in just days!
