I'll start off with the nutritional information first. The serving size is equal to one breakfast bar. Each serving size has 220 calories, 4g of fat, 1g saturated fat, 1g polyunsaturated fat, 1g of Monounsaturated fat, 15mg of cholesterol, 200mg sodium, 150mg potassium, 44g carbohydrates, 5g fiber, 1g soluble fiber, 22g sugar, 4g protein, 20% Vitamin A, 20% Calcium, 20% Iron, 10% Vitamin E, 20% Thiamin, 20% Riboflavin, 20% Niacin, 20% Vitamin B6, 20% Folic Acid, and 10% Phosphorus.
There are too many ingredients to list but the package says that this product contains soy, egg, and wheat ingredients and that it may contain traces of peanut and tree nuts. The first five ingredients of these oatmeal breakfast bars include whole grain rolled oats, high fructose corn syrup, oat bran concentrate, brown sugar, and sugar. Many people do not want to feed their family foods containing high fructose corn syrup so this product may not be for your family. Each Oatmeal to Go Breakfast Bar is 2.1 OZ or 60 G. net weight.
I couldn't wait to try one as soon as I got home from the store. The package states that these oatmeal breakfast bars are moist and chewy which made them sound appetizing and something I would want to eat. From the first bite I found that statement to be true. The apple cinnamon flavor wasn't overwhelming or too faint which I loved. These were very chewy and simply delicious! I don't really care for warm bowls of oatmeal like I did as a child but I did love these breakfast bars! They reminded me of the Quaker Granola bars only chewier and more delicious. One thing I do have to say is that after eating the breakfast bar I felt a bit of spiciness lingering on the tip of my tongue.
The Quaker Oatmeal to Go Breakfast Bars also come in other delicious flavors including raspberry streusel, banana bread, oatmeal raisin, and brown sugar cinnamon. These breakfast bars not only can be eaten cold but, they can be heated for 10 seconds in your microwave for a warmed up version. As tasty as these oatmeal breakfast bars were cold I am sure that they are even more delicious when warmed in the microwave. I give these Quaker Oatmeal to Go Breakfast Bars two thumbs up and would recommend you try them the next time they go on sale.
