The juice boxes that I am reviewing come in the 6.75 fluid ounce box. There is one serving per box. There are 90 calories in one serving. There are 0 calories from fat. There are 5 mg of sodium per serving. There are 21 g Total Carbs and 18 g sugars. I am not sure which sugar this is since there is no sugar added. I would imagine these are natural sugars from the juice. There is 100% Vitamin C and 10% Calcium per serving.
I love the straw pop top. I find that if my son is careful when he hold the box, it usually doesn't spill. It did take practice though. In the beginning he would grab the box and the juice would squirt out everywhere. What a nightmare. But the more we practiced holding the box, the better he got at it. Now we love them. I still don't let my son have more than one box for lunch because he can easily fill up on juice. Sometimes I will pour half the box into a sippy cup and cut it with half water. He still can't tell the difference.
He seems to really enjoy the apple juice flavor the most. We have tried other flavors, but he always asks for the apply juice one. I usually buy these in a six pack for about $4.00 from King Kullen. You could also purchase them at Target. Always watch your prices because it isn't always cheaper at Target. My son likes to look at the apple pictures on the box. There is a red apple, a green apple, and a yellow apple.
The ingredients are as follows: 100% Apple Juice (Filtered Water to mix with apple juice concentrate), Apple Juice made from fresh whole apples, Calcium Gluconate, Calcium Lactate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). There is no sugar added, no corn syrup added, and no artificial sweeteners or preservatives added. That is why I live this product for my son.
You could find more information about Apple and Eve at their website www.appleandeve.com. Or you could call them at 1 800 969 8018. They are located in Roslyn, NY.
I highly recommend the Apple and Eve apple juice box for your child. It is a healthy alternative to juice filled with sugar. Your child will be happy and so will you.
