Apple IPhone Appears to Sell Out Nationwide

John Ford
Visitors to the on-line Apple Store were in for a big shock on Friday when the computer maker's website announced that Apple was sold out of the insanely popular iPhone 3G. Undoubtedly panic struck iPhone buyers went into a mad iPhone withdrawal frenzy, realizing that the combo cellphone/hand-held computer could not be purchase from the Apple mothership, at any price. Well, at least that's the way it appeared. Within hours the iPhone 3G was back up and on sale at the Apple Store, it seems that it was just a software glitch causing the iPhone to become temporarily unavailable on-line.

Weeks after the launch, the Apple iPhone 3G continues to be just as much in demand as it was the day the device became available on July 11th. A quick trip to the Apple Store in any local mall around the country, even two weeks after the iPhone 3G launch, often revealed lines that sometimes stretched ten or twenty hopeful iPhone buyers deep. Over two weeks after its launch, shoppers at the Galleria Mall Apple Store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida were cued up ready to plunk down $199.00 for the iPhone 3G, without a doubt the hottest techno gadget to fly off the shelves in years.

Apple has set up an on-line portal to check availability of the iPhone 3G, so you won't make a trip to your local Apple Store and have to head back home empty handed. You can find the nearest Apple Retail Store with the iPhone 3G in stock at:
