Apple Juice Review: Tree Top 100% Apple Juice

Inexpensive, Shelf-Stable, and Pretty Good Tasting

Recently my three-year-old has taken a liking to juice. I was never one to buy a lot of juice and preferred to get organic like Cascadian Farm Organic Apple Juice whenever I could, but once it became a regularly requested beverage in the house I decided to try out some 100% Apple Juice from Tree Top. Both my son and I had opinions on it.

When I first looked for apple juice in the store I was surprised that the store did not carry any refrigerated apple juice. As a result the Tree Top 100% Apple Juice was shelf-stable, which instantly made me question how good it would taste. My son and I both put it to a taste test as soon as we got home, got the apple juice into the fridge and allowed it to chill. My son thought that it was delicious and he had no complaints about it. To him it was no different the other apple juice that he had tasted in the past. I on the other hand was not without complaints but also was definitely surprised at how good it tasted. I was sure that because the apple juice was shelf-stable it would not taste as good as apple juice that is already refrigerated, and while this was true the apple juice still tasted pretty good.

My son was the main drinker of the Tree Top 100% Apple Juice that came in a 64 fl oz container so it lasted quite a while, or about a week. During those seven days it did not lose flavor which I was happy about. The container actually recommended that the juice be drank up within that time frame so it worked out well for us. I was also pleased about the price of the apple juice, which was only $1.88. I figured at this rate that we could afford to spend around seven and a half dollars a month on apple juice. However if this would become the regular apple juice that we bought I would have to first review the ingredients and nutrition facts.

The Tree Top 100% Apple Juice was pasteurized and the ingredients were apple juice from concentrate made of water and concentrated apple juice and ascorbic acid or vitamin c was added to this. I was glad to see the added vitamin C and the fact that there was no added sugar. The container contained eight 8 fl oz servings and in each serving there was 120 calories, 25 milligrams of sodium, 280 milligrams of potassium, 29 grams of total carbohydrates, 26 grams of sugars and the container listed 2% for iron and 120% vitamin C. I was pleased with the nutrition facts.

When ever I get something new it usually follows that I get a few things new because I like variety and I try and find the best deals on quantity and quality. With this in mind I can not say that we will not try out other apple juices but I am sure that we will get Tree Top 100% Apple Juice again. I would recommend for anyone to try it out.
