This three dimensional Apple Shaped project is perfect to hang on your own wall, give a as gift to your child's teacher, or even make as a hostess gift for someone who has an apple theme in their kitchen.

You can display current and past photos of family members in a fun new way.

To Make a Three Dimensional Wire Apple Shaped You Will Need:

Armature wire (six pieces cut to 2' each)
Rubber band
Brass 18-gauge wire
Cardboard
Scissors
Nail polish
Hot glue
Clothespins

Decoupage

Group the six pieces of armature wire together. Use a rubber band to hold them all together in a bunch. This is a temporary hold to help you out since you probably only have two hands.

Now, you need to wrap the 18-gauge wire around the armature wires. Do this right above the rubber band. Wrap the 18-gauge wire around quite few times until it feels sturdy, like it will half the armature wire together. You should hide the end of this 18-gauge wire inside so that it does not stick out and cut anyone.

Next, Move a few inches up from the first band of 18-gauge wire. Wrap wiring around armature wires, and then spread two of the armature wires away from the center bunch to make an Apple shape.

Now, skip past these first wires that made the Apple shape and continue to wrap the 4 remaining armature wires on the inside of the first apple.

A few more inches up you should again bend two of the armature wires out in either direction just like an Apple shape again.

Continue wrapping the remaining two armature wires like a central line. After a few more inches bend these armature wires out like the final smallest Apple on the inside.

You should now have three sets of Apples each inside the other. Shaped on your photograph display project.

Now for the fun part. You need to starting bending the ends of the wires into fun designs and shapes. The ends need to curl to hold the photographs. You should end each wire piece in a spiral of sorts that allows you to slip a photo of a family member into.

You can use the close pins to adhere the photos and memorabilia all over your wire Apple as well as slip photos into the spirals you made. Try using great metal clips form the local office supply store for a fun and unique look.

You can also use wooden clothespins. Let the kid's help you paint them green like leaves and then use them to clip on some photos.

Hang the three dimensional Apple Shaped photo display artwork on the wall with the picture hanging hooks or screws. You should be able to use some part of the main body of the Apple to hang the craft project.

Once you have you Apple Shaped wire art hang on the wall you can start insert photos in the coiled ends of the Apples you made!

For a finished or even a shabby chic look you can paint this entire Apple before you start placing your photos on it. Simply spray the entire photo display piece with primer. Let this primer dry.

Now, spray on a coat of any type of spray paint you wish. Antique or barn red would be perfect for a retro look. Copper and other metals would also be very finished looking. You could also paint the apple to match your home color scheme.
