As the start of school is only about a month away, companies have launched or is preparing to launch various back-to-school offers to suit student needs. Amongst this companies are Everex, Apple, Sony, and CompUSA.

Earlier last month, Everex has already launched their Back-to-School budget PC for only $298. The EVEREX back-to-school PC features a VIA energy efficient C7-D processor that takes out an average of 2W to a maximum of 20W and has a processing speed of about 1.5 GHz, 1GB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM, a VIA Chrome9 HC IGP graphic card, Realtek High-Definition Audio, 10/100 Ethernet LAN, 6 USB ports, Microphone and headphone jack, as well as VGA, Ethernet and RJ-11 ports.

Apple already launched their back-to-school promo as early as June. Apple's back-to-school promo offers a free iPod nano when customers purchase a MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro or a participating iPod product. Customers must buy from until September 16, 2007 to receive their mail-in rebate of up to $199. CompUSA on the other hand started their back-to-school promo during the latter part of July. CompUSA promo includes a chance to win $10,000 or one of ten notebook computers when customers purchase any product tied to the company's back-to-school campaign. CompUSA's back-to-school campus packs are available online every week at the company's website and in CompUSA stores.

Sony is not far behind and just this week, the company introduced their new program, the Sony Style Campus, that provides students, particularly college students, with personal computer bundles and support services.

The Sony Style Campus offers a wide variety of product packages and services that would meet any college students' needs this coming fall semester.

The Sony Style Campus offers competitively priced VAIO bundles. Students can avail of the latest VAIO models such as the CR series and N series and with their purchase of the VAIO models, they can enjoy a three-year Extended Service Plan with Accidental Damage from handling. This ensures peace of mind as they will be protected from the high price of repairs when their VAIO has been accidentally mishandled. Aside from the Extended Service Plan, the students will also receive a free mouse and carrying case, all these adds up to a $300 savings. Students can also personalize their new VAIO by having their names engraved unto the notebook, ensuring that the students will have a very unique notebook when the semester starts.

Sony Style Campus also offers a trade-in promotion wherein you can trade in your old laptop for credit to purchase a new one at the Sony Style store. You can determine the trade-in value of your old notebook by using the trade-in calculator at sonystyle.com and then you can just bring in your laptop at any of Sony Style retail stores to receive a discount or gift card to be used at Sony Style.

Aside from the VAIO bundle and trade-in promo, Sony Style Campus also offers flexible financing options. Customers can choose from no interest, no payments for 90 days, 12 months, or even up to 18 months (valid only for TVs $399 and above). Visit the Apple, Sony, Everex, and CompUSA website for the details and terms of their respective promos.
