Apple Inc. is one of the biggest companies in the world and it just seems to keep getting bigger. They sell computers and designed the world famous ipod. when the ipod was introduced I remember everyone had to have one. The ipod has storage for thousands of songs, videos, television shows, pictures, contacts, games, and a calendar. The itouch was the newest version of the ipod but it had a full touch screen like the iphone. The iphone was the most anticipated electronic item in 2007. It had all the ipod capabilities, text messaging, plus a camera and the internet. Hundreds of thousands of people stood on lines to get their iphone first. When it finally came out their were problems with it but, they were all ironed out and when the price dropped, the people were credited.
Itunes is the virtual store that people can buy basically any kind of media they want. Movies, Songs, Videos, TV Shows, Audio Books, Pod casts, you name it they have it. On January 16th, 2008, Itunes announced they will allow customers to rent movies to customers. Usually the movies range from $9.99 to $15.99, but these rentals are $2.99 to $3.99 and will be available 30 days after the DVD's official release. High-Definition movies will cost $1 dollar more. They plan to have more than 1,000 movies available by next month alone.
Apple will try to out due themselves in 2008 with brand new products. The Squidget, looks kind of like a flavor flav clock you could wear around your neck. It has a touch screen an LED boarder and uses widgets like the Mac computers. It has a 2.2 inch diameter and is going to cost around $129.99. It will feature text messaging plans for around $12.99 a month and is targeted for young teens. The Ieye is a touch screen camera that will cost about $499.99. The pictures can easily be transfered to your Mac for editing which will make it easier to use. The most interesting addition to the Apple franchise I believe will be the Icar. Apple will team up with Audi to make an Apple option on their TT models. When I get more information on this development I will post an update. Until then, be on the look out the world is changing. An Apple is going to be around in a big way.
