The AppleCare Plan is very affordable.
I purchased my AppleCare plan for $169 from my local Apple Store. The AppleCare plan for iMac added 3 years of complete protection on my purchase. I usually will not purchase additional coverages for products I buy, but considering that the AppleCare Plan for my iMac cost me less than 10% of the purchase of the machine I decided it was well worth it.
The AppleCare Plan is comprehensive.
Most service agreements and protection coverages don't cover your complete system for all types of failures. The AppleCare Plan does. I was told by the salesman that my AppleCare Plan afforded me the opportunity to bring my iMac in for any reason. After owning my iMac for almost 2 years our house suffered a major lightning strike in our back yard. Despite having my iMac and other valuable electronics on surge protectors the lighting still messed up our computers pretty bad. The only computer that worked in our house was our iMac, but when I powered it up I noticed instantly that something was wrong. Within a few hours the iMac had completely quit working. I drove to my local Apple Store and carried my machine in with the full expectation they wouldn't do anything to help me. I was wrong. Within just a few hours they had my machine back up and running. They replaced several important parts including the hard drive, and DVD player. The guy behind the desk called and asked me if I had my machine backed up and thankfully I did. I carried my portable hard drive in when I went to pick up my computer and to my amazement they restored my computer to perfect working condition at no charge. Several weeks after returning my computer back home it still wasn't working up to it's pre-lightning strike performance. I took my iMac back to the the Apple Store and they performed several tests and found the problem. Once again, they completely fixed me up free of charge. The care I received from the Apple store associates is what prompted this AppleCare Protection Plan Review.
The AppleCare Plan provides top notch customer service and technical support.
Since owning my first Apple computer I have had several questions concerning the differences between my iMac and PC computers. When you call Apple they ask you for your AppleCare Plan id. Every time I have ever called Apple for technical support they are able to answer my every question. They have been very patient with me and have walked me through every problem. In a world where Customer Service is almost non-existent it is comforting to know that all I have to do is pick up the phone and all of my iMac questions will be answered.
If you are purchasing an Apple product anytime in the near future I would highly suggest you conult an AppleCare Protection Plan Review and purchase the product.

Post a CommentBEWARE! APPLE NO DIFF THAN PC!
I purchased my first Mac previously having been a PC user about two and half years ago. I received a defective Macbook Air that has had nothing but problems from day one. So far it has had 3 logic boards, 2 hard drives, 2 top covers, 2 displays, etc. I have suffered through 3 major repairs and am not confident in the machine that I currently have. I have been denied supervisors and ignored by two Sr. Representatives. I have been read to from a poorly written script and feel that no one at Apple including the Customer Relations department cares about me or is interested in upholding the Apple Care Protection Plan which stipulates that I will get a new, working unit if the one that I have has major manufacturing issues. The latest mishap has cost me critical data and ruined a year-long project that I have invested the past five months of my life into. I have not been offered anything to compensate for the lost of my data, time, gas, wrangling rides or pe
The Apple Protection Plan SUCKS! Search for the details of the plan. It really does NOT cover what the ATT sales people tell you! They Lie! It is a waste of money!
Great review, it was very helpful! I had wondered about the Apple plan since I am planning to purchase a new ipod and regretted not getting it last time. Thanks :)
Very good review, and good to know as well.
Excellent review. My son is looking for a new computer, and I'll pass this along.
Wow, that is great service! I've only purchased a warranty plan for a computer once and it was a horrible experience. Glad to know that there is a company out there that fulfills their promises and provides great service too.
This is excellent.. :o)
Wow! I'd hate to tell you about some of my experiences! Sounds like a great deal.
