In an interview with Time Magazine Steve Jobs announced that the new iphone will be the new wave of the future and change the American economy and technology, much like the same way that the inventions of the Macintosh computer and Ipod changed the music industry and technology industry. Steve Jobs was the man chiefly responsible for bringing computers to the homes of millions. Even still, the invention of the Ipod made all CDs useless and changed the future of the music industry. Until the invention of the Ipod, people listened to the radio and their CD disk drives on a pair of headphones. The Ipod changed all of that because people no longer had a reason to buy radios and CDs from music stores when they could simply download music from the internet onto their computer and then transfer the songs onto a moveable memory chip which the Ipod contains. The Ipod made sales in the millions and was worldwide as an invention, affecting the economies across the world, not just in the United States.
Now CEO Steve Jobs aims to do the same thing with the invention of the iphone. Although Steve Jobs and Apple Inc are currently being sued by Cisco for copyright infringements on the name, the worst that will happen is that Steve Jobs will have to change the name of his new gadget. As all new technology comes onto the market, the product is expensive at first, just like most computers ranged in the thousands of dollars when they were relatively new. Now that computers have been around for a while in the modern age of technology and there are competing companies that sell computers, an average person can now afford a computer and buy one for less than a thousand dollars. Thet iphone will also come down in price as well.
The iphone invention was made to be a phone without a keyboard and to encompass all aspects of technology onto a small gadget that fits into your hand. The iphone has email, internet access, phone usage, text messaging, pictures, videos and much more. All of it is through a touch screen on the phone's screen and there is no keyboard or big bulky hardrive of a computer. The object is smooth and looks like a square with no antennas or loose wires coming out of it.
With the invention of the iphone, Apple CEO Steve Job changed the name of his company from Apple computers to Apple Inc. The change is name is significant because Steve Jobs is looking to greatly expand his company. Already stock options have increased as the stock prices have risen and the stock might even double which is very likely. Verizon and other companies have already come out with a phone that contains everything like internet access, text messaging, pictures, videos, etc. but the iphone has no competitors that are completely through a touch censor on the monitor of the phone. It might be some time before Steve Jobs and Apple Inc have to relinquish their spotlight.
