Many of us have heard at least part of the above scripture before. More than likely, we have heard it spoken "God's word does not return back to him void." While this is a powerful sentiment as well, I find more power in the entire 11th verse of Isaiah 55. How wonderful ii is to know that not only will God's word not return to him void, but it will accomplish his purpose and prosper in the thing where it was sent to!
This is most evident in creation. We all know that God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. Yes, creation took six days not seven. Other than man, everything else including the animals was created via God's word. God's word did not return to him void during creation, it accomplished the following: the world, waters, land, sun, moon, vegetation and animals.
Wow now that is power! Not only were these things accomplished by God's word, they also have prospered for many millennia. The question those who believe in YHVH should be asking is "How can I get this power in my own life?"
The answer is simple. Apply God's word to your life. Yes many try to adhere to the commandments and love one another, but that is not all. We must remember that God's word became flesh, the flesh of Yeshua/Jesus. Apply the teachings of Jesus to your life, lead a life as close to his as possible, and accept him as the redeemer of your sins. Earnestly begin doing these things and God's word will accomplish much in your life and cause you, "the thing it was sent to," to prosper.
