April 22 American Idol Show Sends Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai Packing

Lil Ronds, where has that been? That is the question that is probably being asked around every office cooler today. We all knew it was coming, but it may have been delayed for quite a few weeks if she would have been belting out performances like that from the beginning. Having said that, there is no doubt that we will be hearing a lot more from Lil Rounds in the near future.

However, Lil's performance was the highlight of the show. I am not sure who decided to do the medley of aging disco stars, but that had to be the miscall of the season. I actually found myself laughing out loud when KC was on stage. Other than the supermodels that were dancing around him, it was completely comical. Say what you want and send the hate mail, but that was pathetic.

Anoop was the second one to go and this was another fate that was sealed. Anoop has some talent, but he is going to need some guidance. He is clumsy on stage and lacks flexibility in his vocals. He is another singer though that with some tutelage can make an impact in the music industry. If he is smart, he will get to work right away and make a huge impact when the Idol Tour starts up this summer.

I think the biggest surprise of the night and something that has to be alarming is that Allison ended up in the bottom three. Disco was definitely a concern, but the overall feedback is that her performance was better than Matt's. There was never a doubt that she was safe, in fact you knew it doomed Anoop when her name was announced instead of Matt's. Still, this proves that she has to be perfect from here on out to stay alive.

With the way the voting has gone over the last few weeks, you can assume that Matt and Allison are going to be the next two to go. That is going to leave us with Adam, Danny and Kris going to the final three and it is going to be an absolute shootout. We all know that Adam is a huge favorite, but don't be surprised to see one of these guys give him a run for his money. The more people that get eliminated, the more of a chance the other contestants have.

The reason I say this is that non-Adam fans are more than likely going to go with the other contestants. While he has a large following, the American Idol loyalists are sick and tired of this being called the Adam Lambert show. It should make the final couple of shows very interesting. I for one am looking forward to the upcoming weeks.

I'm sorry but your views are out of touch.
First, Lil should have gone several weeks ago instead of Alexis. She only has a powerful voice, that's all and can sing. But she's not a singer, more so not an artist. And she just doesn't get it what artistry or being original is all about. That means she is not talented, not creative and only one dimensional. She and Danny are so over rated by the judges until 2 weeks ago that Simon's eyes were opened about Lil. These two have been giving simply boring performances. I don't think she's stubborn not to follow what the judges have been saying week after week. Either she's just not capable, no ability or just plain dumb not to understand.
And definitely, this is The Adam Lambert Show. He is totally from another stratosphere from all the rest who all have good vocals and are good but nothing compared to Adam.
There's no contest. The competition is who will be in the finals one on one with Adam. I refuse to say the second placer. Because no on
