April Fool's Day Poem - the Last Joke

Violet Rose
When the boss arrived on April Fool's Day

He expected a joke without a doubt -

The office was too quiet he had to say.

He watched for them all to jump out and shout.

Not a soul was around, this was a bit much.

He never expected this to last so long.

Now he was ready to fire the whole bunch,

He'd show them a joke for doing him wrong.

On entering his office he checked his e-mail,

The employees had written, "We are to ready to sail.

All of us have won the lottery pool.

So find new employees to play your fool!"
