Notes: The various tricksters are1. The first is Loki who is the father of the Fenris Wolf and who helped the Aesir cheat a giant by distracting his draft horse. 2.The second is Anansi a spider trickster from African folklore. 3. Hermes, the Greek god of messengers and thieves who decided to steal his brother's cattle when he was a baby. 4. This is Coyote--in this case, Wile E. Coyote, from the Warner Brothers cartoons.. 5. This is Odin, the wily leader of the Aesir in Norse mythology; he is one sneaky and dangerous god, though he's more of a Chessmaster than a Trickster.
