Aquaphor lotion was recommended to my mother by her doctor as a skin product for her seriously dry skin. After trying out this skin product, she immediately bought another bottle of lotion for me and my son, who also suffers from dry rashy skin. I quickly became hooked on this skin product and blew through the sample she gave me. I'm now half way through my first bottle of lotion and wanted to share the pros and cons of Aquaphor with you.
The first pro is that this skin product really works! It is GREAT for dry skin, especially dry cracked feet! If you use this lotion every day you can really see a difference! I noticed softer feet within the first couple of days of using this lotion. I also love it on my legs, especially after just shaving. For me, it was the best skin product I have ever used on my legs. It is also safe enough to use on your lips and when I discovered that I threw away my chap stick and have used my lotion to keep my lips kissably soft!
Even a great product has its weaknesses. If you don't use Aquaphor every day you will not see such vivid results. It also has a funny consistency similar to petroleum jelly (not at all like lotion), so it doesn't spread easily and it leaves your skin feeling greasy and oily. My son hates to use it! Also, if you put it on your bare feet and then walk around your house, make sure your house is clean because you will pick up every little thing! However, the biggest con of Aquaphor is its price. Even the small jars are VERY expensive and while the large jars are definitely more economical, they can put a big bite in any budget.
Aquaphor is a great skin product and really does work for a number of different uses besides just your hands and feet. Is it expensive, but most lotions are and you usually have to pay a hefty price if you want a good product. If you are looking for a good heavy duty lotion and can afford the price tag, then Aquaphor just may be for you.
