Arbor Mist Blackberry Merlot Wine Cooler Review

Can't Resist the Mist!!

Arbor Mist is by far my favorite affordable tasty sweet fruity wine choice. You can get a 1.5 liter bottle for under $10 and their Blackberry Merlot flavor is my favorite.

Bottles are frosty looking and most wine stores carry at least two sizes, even smaller four-packs are available. Blackberry has a sweet taste and just a little fruity aftertaste, it does look like good dark merlot and has hardly any bubbles.

I asked from my local wine store which flavor of their Arbor Mist is most popular and I was told that it is just about a tie between Blackberry Merlot and Melon White Zinfandel. They have 12 different flavor combinations so there is something for every fruit wine lover!

Arbor Mist is perfect for party or just if you want to chill out with a nice glass of wine. Blackberry Merlot goes well with some cheese and crackers or just by itself, it is too sweet to serve with dinner for my taste.

It has 6% alcohol but I do not get a headache after drinking it moderately (that is a BIG plus!) You should serve it well chilled and I often add some ice cubes to my glass.

According to their website http://www.arbormist.com Arbor Mist is available nationwide in United States. You can find closest retailer from their web search and if your local wine store does not carry Arbor Mist you could ask for it to be specially ordered. They do not sell directly from the winery to the public.

Winery is located in Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. They do not offer their own tours for public but you can visit their sister Winery Widmer Wine Cellars for tour and tasting different Arbor Mist wines. Their website is http://www.widmerwine.com/

I think their serving size 8 fl oz (240ml) is quite large, there is about 6 servings in 1.5 liter bottle. One serving has 160 calories, 10mg sodium, 21g total carbohydrates and 21g sugars. There is also 2% of your daily need of Calcium.

Ingredients are: merlot, water, high fructose corn syrup, natural flavors, carbon dioxide, citric acid, potassium benzoate and potassium metabisulfate.

You should store the wine prior opening in a cool, dry, dark area away from bright light and constant vibration. Optimum storage temperature is 53 - 59 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid extreme temperature changes. Refrigerate after opening.

Next time you want to chill with friends or just enjoy a nice glass of fruity wine, give Arbor Mist a try!
