Ardell False Lashes Review

Alexis Valentine
A great way to get longer, fuller lashes is to use false eyelashes. I use to be one of those women that thought it was strange that anyone would glue something to their eyelids until I tried it for myself for the first time. False eyelashes are very popular whether you just want to make your eyes pop for photos or if you're wanting to try a more dramatic look. After some practice I've found that it's much easier to put on a pair of false lashes than trying to get the look I want with a mascara, no matter how good it is. One of my favorite brands of false eyelashes is Ardell.

You might not know Ardell by name if you're not too familiar with false lashes but I can almost guarantee that you've seen them before, if only when passing by the cosmetic aisle in a drug store. The great thing about Ardell false lashes is that they're easy to find. Almost all drug stores, Wal-Mart and Target carries Ardell lashes. They're great for beginners and those who wear false eyelashes often because they're very affordable. I often get mine at Walgreens for around $3-4 a pair, sometimes I'll drop by a Sally store to pick some up and they're about the same price there too. Ardell has a fairly good selection to choose from, whether you're wanting a more natural, day time look or a dramatic look for an evening out. Their false lashes are made from 100 percent human hair and easy to put on and take off. For many people these lashes can be too wide so it's best to try them on first and then trim them to fit your eyes, but that's the general rule for all false lashes.

There are a few things about Ardell false lashes that bothered me. The first thing is that unlike many other brands of false lashes these more often than not don't come with lash glue. Most of the time the glue that comes with a pair of lashes aren't very good, DUO is the best, but it's always nice to have a tube prepackaged just in case. Although Ardell offers a fairly good selection of styles to choose from don't count on finding them at your local drug store. Only the most popular five styles are stock at most stores. If you want to find the whole selection you'll have to go to a beauty store like Sally's. I actually didn't know Ardell offered so many styles until I dropped by a Sally store. If you don't have a Sally store near you don't bet on being able to order it off of Ardell's website because I haven't been able to. Another thing I'm disappointed about Ardell is that they don't offer enough fun, unique lashes.

Despite some of the negative points I still really like Ardell's false lashes. I've never had any problems with them falling apart on me. They look great on my eyes and since I'm not the type to go crazy with my lashes I'm pretty happy with their selection.
