The holiday season is here once again. Where everyone hustles over looking for Christmas presents, looking for Christmas plays, or just looking for a fun thing to do with the family. There are always things you can find to do, but most cost money. One thing you can do at little or no cost is to take a drive and look at all the Christmas lights. If you are one of those people who enjoy a good Christmas lights display, then I know just where you need to be. There is a spectacular light display at Ardmore Regional Park in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They have gathered local businesses to sponsor locations,in the park, adding their colorful light displays. Ardmore Regional Park is located off Interstate 35 in Ardmore take exit 33. Ardmore Regional Park address is 2704 North Rockford Road. That may come in handy in case you want to program the address into your Tom Tom or other maps locater.

The Festival of Lights is a drive through lights display. The display is 1 1/2 miles filled with vibrant, bright, and animated light shows. The Ardmore Festival of Lights begins November 22 and lasts until December 30. All visits are free, but they except donations. All donations go to the next years event to continue the growth of the display. You can enter the display at the gate of the park. Entries are allowed in at around 6:00 P.M. The park closes at 10:00 P.M.

This display is a fun tour of all kinds of lights. Some are animated with Santa's elves tossing presents to Santa's house all lit up with his reindeer. The Festival of Lights features over one hundred displays this year. Driving through this display is fun for the whole family. It really puts you in the Christmas spirit. Before you enter the Ardmore Regional Park they ask you to tune into you favorite Christmas music to add to the ambiance. They usually post a station on the gate for you to tune into. Sometimes they may give the kiddos a candy cane at the end of the drive. The Ardmore Festival lights is truly a great stop for Christmas fun. With its convenient location and free admission it would be worth the drive if you are around the Ardmore, Oklahoma area.
