How would a parent feel knowing that there are people linked to terrorist groups already here and operating as part of the public school system?
I'm sure any parent remembers the horror of the Beslan school attack a few years back in Russia. Our hearts wept for the children and the families of those killed. There were 172 school children killed in that attack, which was performed by a group with links to Al-Qaida. Schools are an open "free kill" to a terrorist group. They offer minimal security, and even those with security measures in place, aren't guaranteed to stop a determined terrorist.
There's no better way to bring America to its knees than to attack the innocent children, and they know that.
Last month, the FBI and the Homeland Security issued warnings to various school districts stating that there are people with "extreme terrorism ties," already in the process of obtaining licenses, or already have a license, to drive school buses. There are also concerns about cafeteria workers, and janitors in certain schools, but everyone is afraid to profile them.
Floor plans for Virginia, Texas and New Jersey schools have already been found in Iraq. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who is currently in custody in the United States, has stated in a confession that Al-Qaida has an interest in targeting school children, because in a jihad, they are fair game. A spokesman for Al-Qaida has also stated that they feel it would be right to kill up to 2 million children, in response to the Muslim children that have been killed.
Lt. Col Dave Grossman is an anti-terror consultant that trains the FBI, and recently stated, "Osama bin Laden has promised that what has happened in (Beslan) Russia will happen to us many times over" also stating "And Osama tries very hard never to lie to us."
It's already been shown that there are people within the United States that are willing to help with the plan. This might include last years surprise boarding of a school bus in Tampa, Florida by two Saudi men dressed in trench coats. Higher ups think it might be a test run to see how easy it would be to overtake a school bus.
There was also an incident involving an Arab man from Detroit that was caught trying to obtain a job as a school bus driver in New York using fake Social Security documents.
So what is a parent to do to keep their children safe? Home school? It's not realistic for every child in the United States to be home schooled.
In my opinion, the only thing we might be able to do is pray for our children's safety. Pray that this will never come to fruition here in America.

Post a CommentI have to agree, there are a lot of people out there that hate us. There are enough problems in our own country they could concentrate on dealing with IMO.
What is sad about this is that Jeff's comment has merit. The United States is always sticking its nose in other countries' business, trying to make other countries "America Lite", and that breeds hatred of our country. We can reduce this risk by bringing our troops back and spending a portion of our world takeover expenses on school security. This was a great read and hopefully will open a few eyes.
Very scary! I have two shool-aged children and on top of worrying about school shootings, now us parents must worry about this. It's unbelievable what this world is coming to.
As someone with a loose personal tie to what happened in Beslan, I can add that it is indeed important to maintain good school security. What is not helpful is overblown hyperbole. That bus drivers with "extreme terrorist ties" story has already been shown to be a load. Making fear-raising claims is about as helpful as "praying." Do something concrete, like demand our government start actually funding homeland security instead of ill-advised wars that only create more people angry enough to try to attack the U.S.
This article is a great discussion opener on this issue.
