Are Angels Among Us?

Angels are real and definitely among us but most people get their concept of angels from Hollywood and storybooks rather than the true source of the knowledge of their existence which is the Bible.

There are different types of angels such as Cherubim, Seraphim, and Archangels. There are also Holy angels and fallen angels. They have been around since before the creation and have been interacting with humans since the very beginning. Fallen angels interfered with the human race in the days of Noah by mingling with human women which produced a race of hybrids called the Nephilim.

"The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown." Gen 6:4

Satan is a Cherub and was once the most beautiful angel in heaven. The time of Satan's fall is uncertain except that it happened before the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. One third of the angels fell with Satan and they have been helping him try to thwart God's plans ever since.

The difference between angels and demons seems to be debatable but it is commonly taught that demons are disembodied spirits who, unlike angels, are earth-bound. They are evil in nature and whether we realize it or not we deal with them on a regular basis.

In the Bible there are nearly 300 references to angels. The holy angels serve God, fallen angels serve Satan, and demons are, in a sense, Satan's foot soldiers. Angels occupy multiple dimensions and the universe is absolutely filled with these incredible beings.

UFOs are thought to be manifestations of these multidimensional beings. UFOs have never been tracked from outer space but always appear out of nowhere and display behavior that defies physical laws. They have been tracked on multiple radars but when approached by military jets they simply vanish into thin air.

The reality of different dimensions was realized by science years ago. Einstein once said, "It is very possible that in a different dimension right now, a railroad train is coming right through the middle of this room, only we can't perceive it because it's in an entirely different dimension."

All angels are created beings. "For by Him, (Jesus) were all things created that are in heaven, that are in earth, visible and invisible." The invisible things in heaven are angels which are called thrones, dominions, principalities and powers- heaven's invisible army. They are also known as the hosts of heaven and are called gods as they belong to the supernatural divine level but are not to be worshiped. They are called holy ones (Psalm 89) and stars (Job 38:7) and princes (Daniel 10) and all of them were created by God.

Angels are not supernatural robots. They are intelligent personal beings with will and emotion. They also have some kind of celestial form. "There's a natural body and a spiritual body." (1Cor. 15:44) But angels often take on human form. The Apostle Paul said that we should be kind to strangers because some have entertained angels unknowingly.

Angels are always observing humans. Paul said, "for we are made a spectacle to the world and to angels and to men." They watch the church and are particularly interested in the redemption of man. They watch all people so they can turn and praise God for what he is doing in their lives.

Therefore, angels are definitely among us and the spiritual dimension is as active as our own. Holy angels are warring with fallen angels. Jesus Christ defeated Satan at the cross but until the second coming, Satan is still the prince of the power of the air and the god of this world. He hates God and he hates us with a passion. He's hell bound and he's determined to take as many of us with him as he can. Meanwhile, God's holy angels are all around those who belong to Jesus Christ and "that wicked one toucheth him not." 1John 5:18
