Well readers, I've decided to take the plunge. As a library enthusiast and an avid reader it was time to face this challenge. I believe it's doable too. And guess what! You're invited to join me with so many other adults. Let me tell you about it.
WHAT: 6 in 12 Book Challenge
WHEN: The Year 2012
SPONSORED BY: The Mid Continent Public Library branches
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
Decide what book (can also include audiobooks, eBooks, comics or print titles) you want to read from the MCPL branch of your choice.
Place a hold in either the Library catalog or fill out a book list and return to Library.
Participants will receive entry in the eReader giveaway for each book read or listened to.
Keep in mind, there is no minimum or maximum required-other than the 6 books in 12 months. After that, the sky is the limit.
So excited am I about the prospect of possibly winning an eReader, that I am currently listening to an audiobook while looking at two books on my table from the library just begging to be read.
So I'm going all out in this contest. Wish me well!!!
Okay, so you don't live in this area but pretend you do, if for no other reason to jumpstart your reading adventures. Perhaps this might motivate you to see the happenings that are taking place at your local library.
Hurry today and register at www.mymcpl.org. Local phone numbers are listed at the website too.
NOTE: Since originally writing this article I have read and/or listened to 6 books. I'm just getting started as I plan to continue to stretch myself even more.
