Are Coke Rewards a Rip Off? Take a Look Under the Cap!

Free Coke Rewards Save Me Money!

Kay Corbett
When drinking Coca~Cola or Diet Coke have you ever noticed those codes under the lids or on 12 pack and 24 packs of soda? Have you ever thought about collecting them to win products? My husband turned me onto Coke Rewards and it has become a small obsession of mine. I have even asked my family and friends who are not interested in collecting their own points to save them for me!

Collecting Coke Rewards is easy! Save lids from 16 oz., 1 litter, and 2 litter bottles. These caps are 3 points. When buying the 12-pack or 24 pack check inside the box. The 12-pack code gives you 10 points, and the 24-pack gives you 20 points.

To enter your codes go to www.mycokerewards.com and sign up. You can enter 10 codes per day.

To use your points search the rewards area. You can find magazine subscriptions, coupons, Coca-Cola gear, American Idol gear, and a one month membership to Rhapsody. If you live near an AMC Theater, they have coupons you can purchase for free popcorn and movie tickets. They offer ring-tone downloads too. One I would like to try is a 25.00 E-Gift Certificate for 280 points. If you drink a lot of coke or have a ton of friends and family who will give you their points, you can get a One day general admission ticket to Universal Studios in Hollywood or a Universal Orlando Theme Park 1-day ticket for 1000 points! The most expensive item costs 8000 points-if you can collect that many coke points you deserve the $200.00 Nike Gift Card, because you've probably worn the soles of your shoes off collecting all of those points!

Last summer when gas prices were astronomical and money was tighter than ever, we found that our "Coke Rewards" could provide with us some entertainment.

We purchased coupons for free movie rentals or coupons that gave us a popcorn bucket, two drinks (coke or diet coke) and 2 movie rentals for free! There was also a coupon for "rent one, get one free". (Not all coupons mentioned above are currently available-they change from time to time)

One of my latest purchases with my coke reward points was to get 70 4x6 photos printed for free at snapfish.com. It cost me 64 points. My photos came in last week and the quality was great! I plan to order more using my coke rewards coupons real soon! I saved over $20.00 and could not be happier! Shipping and handling was around $5.00 and they were delivered with in a few days. For 285 points you can get an 8x11 Classic Photo Book with 20 photos. That will be another future purchase!

I have also purchased a Red Book magazine subscription and am waiting for my first magazine to arrive!

Six Flags tickets used to be available-that is what started my point collecting obsession to begin with-we earned enough points for a free ticket year before last and that was a huge savings-but they are not offering that at this time-however, I do hope they will add it to the rewards list again!

We have enjoyed our coke rewards-collecting these coke points have certainly been rewarding!

Bunch of whiners. Coke doesn't even have to do this rewards program so be thankful for whatever you get! Cry me a river.

They took over 80k of my points as well very nice move Coke time to move over to a different drink .
First they limit the amount of caps you can enter in a week which was less then what we drank then they clear the account before the due date :(

Those dirtbags zeroed out my balance too, after I had accumulated nearly 300 points. They used to send email warnings to let you know a 3-month deadline was approaching. Then they suddenly stopped doing that and bam - no more points. Hey Coke, I now say to you - no more Coke products! I'll buy Pepsi and store brand colas in the future. Thanks for being a ripoff company.

I had the same thing happen to me as Molly Mae. I had saved up several caps and codes from various 12 pack cartons. When I sat down to enter the codes all of my points had "expired". I received no email notice from Coke and it had not been a full 90 days since my last sign in on my account. I attempted to contact Coke through their Customer Care. What a joke! It’s more like a glamorized FAQ. I've watched the “My Coke Rewards” program since the beginning. I cashed in on a couple of prizes (wasn't all that impressed) and I've watched as the prizes diminished and the value of the points have gone down. I'm done with Coke Rewards and Coke products!

I gave up on this program after they zeroed out my points balance. I was not in the position to log on, but had saved up several codes to enter. When I logged in and found all my points (which I worked very hard to accrue) were gone, I decided NO MORE!

What a complete and total ripoff. I guess it is ok for someone who can be certain they are glued to their computer daily. Otherwise it is a waste of time and money. They have certainly lost me as a customer.

When I received this comment I went directly to mycokerewards.com and logged in--there were no rewards higher than 2000 points and the same things I purchased several months ago were there in the same point range 50-100 and 101-250 and so on. I still look forward to using my points for things I wouldn't normally buy, things I see as a luxury--Also, I got my Red Book Magazine! Yeah Coke Rewards!

coke has changed the way u can add points now u can only add 120 points per week and none of the rewards are more than 2000 points so now it takes forever to add up points and the rewards are not very good thanks coke for putting even your rewards program in a recession, hope sales fall dramaticly just like the rewards
