Are Curvier Women Smarter?

Melissa Q
I was making dinner one night when I heard part of a news story that almost caught my full attention, and would have had my full attention had it not been for my new baby crying, my eight year old practicing her multiplication tables aloud and my husband talking about his day at work, all at the same time. I am more than sure that most mothers and parents can relate to that situation. It was no use. I was not going to be able to hear the story so I had no choice but to wait until the house was silent and still, which just happened to be midnight.

Since I had only heard part of the story, my interest was peaked and of course I had to know more, so naturally I went on-line. The Internet is the place I turn to to catch up on my local news. As every one reading this knows, the Internet is the place to go to find such important information and with just a quick tap on the back of an electrical rodent who can resist? When I finally found the complete story I was enthralled. The story was about a study conducted by William Lassek of the University of Pittsburgh and Steven Gaulin of the University of California at Santa Barbara that showed, curvy women have higher IQ's and smarter children than their overly skinny counter parts.

I was elated! EUREKA! Let me ask you this. Do you know what a woman could do with such valuable information? Just think. Any woman who's husband or significant other has thrown those not-so-subtle hints about the extra weight they have put on in the past few years or since the birth of their children; or when some one you don't know asks you "oh, CONGRATULATIONS, when are you due?" and your not even pregnant. You and I now have in our hands the POWER to silence the negative commentators when it comes to our weight, I mean curves.

As for me, this news story holds the ultimate comeback to all those un-welcomed comments. All I will have to say is, I have these curves because I'm smarter than you, and my children will be smarter than yours. Or to those skinny women that dare make a comment like that to a fellow woman, we curvaceous women can now respond with confidence "AAH yes, my curves, aren't they nice? I make sure to keep them there to make sure that my children aren't as slow as yours."

So to all of us Curvy women out there, revel in your curves and rejoice in the food you eat, because according to some doctors and scientist, we are all Smarter and most important of all, more satisfied than those poor, paper thin, hungry and might I add, not-so-smart model wannabes out there!
