One question that many people in America ask themselves is, do I wan't to lose weight with diet and exercise or use a "quick fix" diet pill? A lot of people in America choose the latter. According to askdocweb.com, most diet pills put out are not FDA approved and may not give the results that people expect. Xenical is one of the only weight loss drugs out there that has been FDA approved. . I have used this drug in the past, and personally was not any drug I would take for a long period of time. The only weight loss product that has worked for me is Weight Watchers. I have been heavy for a good part of my life and have tried nearly everything, from crash diets to diet pills. Of the gimmicks I have tried, I have realized that there are no "magic pills" out there, the only way to lose weight is by good ole' diet and exercise. I am however only one person and not all people have to agree with me. I am sure that there are people out there that have used diet pills and have lost weight. Either way, I will let you decide, this article will give you information such as side effects and prices on popular diet pills. So, you can choose how you would prefer to lose those few extra pounds!

First is Xenical, Xenical is one of the only diet pills that has been FDA approved. Xenical was not meant to be used and the weight just "falls off", it was meant to help the person lose weight who has already started a low fat diet. If you are not practicing a low fat diet while using Xenical, you are sure to feel repercussions. According to askdocweb.com, most side effects due to Xenical are as follows: Gas with discharge, Oily stools, fatigue, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, nausea, fecal urgency, etc... You may only purchase Xenical through a doctor's prescription and without insurance will run you about 130 dollars a month. (askdocweb.com)

The second diet pill is Alli, Alli is new on the market and is the only over the counter diet drug that has been FDA approved. Alli is the same kind of drug as Xenical, but is lower in potency. Alli produces the same side effects as Xenical. Alli will run you about 60 dollars a month and can be bought at retail stores.

The third diet pill is Phentermine. Derivatives of Phentermine are known as: Adipex, Fastin, Panshape M, Phentercot, etc... (askdocweb.com) Phentermine's are basically an appetite suppressant; it makes you feel less hungry, the less you eat obviously, the more you lose weight. With all drugs, Phentermines also have side effects. Askdocweb.com states that the side effects include, possible mood swings and agitation, also may include depression, irritability and tiredness. Also, phnetermine may raise blood pressure and produce a faster heart rate. The only way to get any kind of phentermine is by a doctor's prescription and without insurance will cost between 50 and 100 dollars a month.

As you can see, there are a lot of side effects concerning diet drugs. The side effects of eating right and exercising is: losing weight, preventing heart problems, lowering or preventing high blood pressure, not developing diabetes and feeling great about yourself, also, you are more likely to keep the weight off! Remember, there are no magic diet pills out there.
