Are You Dressed Appropriately to Work?

To become a successful women in career the dress code is very crucial as there are studies which shown that people will judge their new people within the first thirty seconds and there is no second chance to make your first impression. So, as a successful woman in career you will want to get a good impression from your client, get the contracts that are profitable to company and present your professionalism.

Of course you need to be competent and capable to achieve this. But do you realize that there is a minor thing that you need to have in order to build your authority and credibility. It can be done by imposing yourself through proper attire by having a suitable wardrobe. This will varies for people working in different industry and working area.

For those people who are working in a corporation such as bank, Law Company or a consultancy firm I would high recommend you to choose the traditional and stiff and clothes. What do I mean stiff and traditional clothes will be a suit which is two pieces with skirts or pants? For people working in corporation, the best colors to choose will be neutral like color such as black, grey, green or brown which come in different shades.

It will be different if you are working in a modern or looser environment. Work at the publicity, journalism at newspaper, radio or television. Then you will want to have an apparition as distinctive as possible, less orotund and to be, at the same time wearing comfortable clothes. It is very crucial to wear decent clothes which can adapt to the requirement of the profession you are in. If you are working in this environment then casual elegant style will be the best choice. Wearing jeans with a blouse or coat where it is a little formal will be sufficient.

If you are currently in the service industry like hospital, restaurant or beauty salon the dress code will be a bit different. You need to build up an image which is ready to serve people at all the times. The classic deux-pieces are not fit here because you are not after imposing over your interlocutor. However, if you are in these industries but still want to dress up in suit. You can by choosing pale colour suits. There is an advantage of working in the service line because you can always wear sweaters, shirt or blouses with funny and cute design and drawings.

Color is very important in dressing code. Do not overdo with colors. Do not choose the color which is too bright during your working period. Try to get colors which suit your working environment. If you are fancy of colored suits, you can leave the colored for the underneath pieces.
