It was started back in 1984, by two ladies named Vickie and JoAnn. They were neighbors who enjoyed the same love of country decorating, gardening and crafts. They stared their little mail order business out of their kitchen in Delaware, Ohio and it grew to what it is today.
They have everything imaginable to make your home country and cozy. From candles to cookware, and night lights to quilts, you name it and they've got it.
One of my personal favorites is their cookbooks; the recipes in these books are just wonderful! Some real down home recipes, some quick and easy recipes and the desserts... they are to die for. But these special cookbooks are not only recipes, there are personal stories, decorating ideas and how to tips. They have over a hundred different cookbooks.
They have a wonderful array of things for the kitchen. There are tablecloths and towels, apples and aprons, baskets and bowls, cookie cutters and canisters, stoneware bowls and speckled soup pots.
The home décor section has items for the bathroom, quilts and throws accents for every room, bedding, rugs, and candles. They have the perfect country décor, to make even an apartment in the city, feel like a place in the country.
They have a large seasonal section that has something for every season. It is sectioned off by each season to make it easy to look through. But make sure to look in all the seasons, because there will be something in each one that catches your eye.
Their holiday section has something for every holiday. From a conversation heart bubble light for Valentines Day to a gingerbread house cookie jar for Christmas.
Some of the other sections they have are foods, kids and outdoor fun.
They have a guarantee that if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may be refunded or exchange your purchase within 30 days.
They are very good with refunding or doing an exchange. They offer gift certificates, and wrapping and mailing of items.
You can look through their store online or request a catalog by going to www.gooseberrypatch.com . Anyway you do it, you are sure to sit back and enjoy looking through all these wonderful items in their little country store.
