Are You Looking for a New Spring Break Destination? Try Rosarito Beach in Mexico
Home of the Foam Party
The first bar isn't necessarily quite as large as some of the others but it is a well known one. That bar is Senor Frogs. They have pretty good bar food for cheap prices. They also have very good happy hour specials, and huge margaritas all of the time. If you are trying to save some money and still get a good buzz while in Rosarito Beach for Spring Break, don't forget about the $1 shot bar at Senor Frogs.
The next three bars in this article can be described as mega-bars. These are very large bars that can host a very large number of people at once, quite often over 5,000 customers. These bars are not just bars, but entertainment venues with dance floors, food, and activities to participate in. The three in that category in Rosarito Beach, Mexico are Papas & Beer, Club Iggy's, and Club Maya.
Papas & Beer is a legend in Rosarito Beach. It is located with both indoor and outdoor facilities, totalling over 47,000 square feet. There are two dance floors in the bar for everyone, and 5 different VIP rooms. The club has 9 different bars inside to serve its guests. Of course drinking and dancing aren't the only things here. For entertainment there are volleyball nets, a mechanical bull, and a rock climbing wall. Papas & Beer also has a bikini contest and a tug of war contest on a regular basis. Papas & Beer is truly an entertainment venue and a bar.
Club Iggy's isn't far behind Papas & Beer as far as entertainment options. There are two restaurants in this club, and the club can hold 5,000 guests to dance on its five dance floors. There are also eight bars within the club to help keep everyone refreshed. Speaking of refreshing Club Iggy's has foam parties on a regular basis. For those that aren't familiar with these (all college students probably are by the way), the bar is filled with suds, and the guests tend to wear very small amounts of clothing. It's sort of a giant bubble bath without the water. Speaking of water, Club Iggy's has an indoor pool if you wish to swim. The club also offers outdoor activities including rentable ATV vehicles and a bungee jump, you can also ride a mechanical bull if you wish.
Club Maya is the third of the mega-bars. Club Maya can hold 6,000 guests, and has quite a few features that the other mega-bars have as well. There is a mechanical bull and VIP areas, one of these even includes a 12-person jacuzzi for fun at the bar. One unique feature at Club Maya is the surf machine.
Finally, if you aren't done when the bars close up there is one club that is open after hours. That bar is Rock and Roll Taco. This bar is actually open after all the others close including from 2 am until 8 am. The club even offers free massages and a pool for their guests. Just don't be shocked by all the skeletons decorating the bar, it's part of their theme.
So, are you looking for a relaxing meal, or a wild party bar that is a whole entertainment center to itself? Either way, you can find what you are looking for at Rosarito Beach in Mexico while you are there for Spring Break.
