Are You a LOST Fan?

Are you ready? Finally, after a "short" 252 days long break (Season 3 finale was broadcasted on May 23, 2007) LOST is going to be back on ABC this coming Thursday, Jan 31st. Here is a quick resource guide to get back on track depending on what type of fan of the show you are.

John Locke, you don't want to leave the island even if the show is on a break: Probably you don't need much help from me. You spent the summer hooked up to lostpedia, 4815162342.com, or any of the official LOST websites (just go to ABC.com).

Jack Shephard, you don't know how you got into the show, but now that you are there you are committed till the end: You just need a quick refresher, you still feel the end of last season as if it happened yesterday (or next year, talk about that flash-forward!). ABC will air last season finale on Wednesday night (1/30).

Sawyer, you say you want "out", but you keep coming back: You are one of the many fans that quit on the show on that slow first half last year, just to come back after some friends told you that the second half really picked up the pace. You really don't need any recap (it's not like you care about it), but I'm sure you're going to be right there on Thursday night.

Nikki and Paulo, who? You watched one or two episodes during all the show's run: There is always time to join the fan club. My suggestion is to start TiVo'ing the show and catch up with the previous seasons first... or just go to my upcoming "three seasons in three post" review)

Walt, you were a regular during seasons one and two, a no-show on season three, but we all know you will be coming back at some point: Can you cram 22 episodes in 3 days? Can you guess what happened? Come back for season 4, and watch season 3 during the summer break. If you are anything like Walt, time and sequence won't make a huge difference in the big scheme of the show.

Gilligan, clearly you were on another island during this century: What can I say? You seem destined to hear about this one at the water cooler and during lunch breaks. There is still hope. Start like Nikki and Paulo, read a quick review, and give the show a fresh shot. Once you get hooked up you can start renting all the previous seasons. It's going to be your personal flashback collection in between each new episode.

Hope to connect with you all on Thursday night.

Class dismissed!
