It really is a matter of personal choice.I live in New York City and personally i can not afford $3500. per month just for an apartment that is not much bigger than seven hundred and fifty square feet.I do not know many people who can afford this while still living comfortably. Also you have to account for all of the other expenses that you will have to pay for.

Honestly in New York City owning a car is a waste of money, but if you insist on this luxury then you will have to forgo the metro card and pay a much higher amount for car insurance. You will need Electricity for your apartment.Assuming you are not anorexic you will need to buy food monthly or weekly depending on your needs.Most likely you are going to need cable and Wireless internet.

So after considering all this is the luxury apartment worth it? No it is not worth it at all. If you want access to a pool get a membership to a YMCA for less than $20.If you want someone to open doors for you, get a boyfriend that still believes in chivalry.I'm sure he will be glad to hold doors open for you.
