Are Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams Too Pretty To Fly?
College students Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams were on there way from Tampa to Los Angeles on Southwest Airlines when they were singled out for being "too pretty." They claim that the stewardesses who were significantly older, and I am assuming not as pretty as these two girls, were rude to them. The list of offenses against these "pretty" girls by the said stewardesses include being ignored when they wanted water, and not being defended when another passenger yelled at them.
Pretty prejudice? Now that is a new one. Granted the two girls were escorted off the Southwest Airlines flight by four armed guards and questioned by the FBI for two hours before being released, but to say this was because they were too pretty, give me a break.
I know I have had some negative experiences on an airline or two, but I never thought that it was because I was "too pretty." One experience that sticks in my mind was when I was flying back from Tampa to Cleveland. I went to my seat and I noticed that a piece of gum was on it. I went to the steward and told him, there is gum on my seat, and he told me to put a piece of paper over it. I went back to my seat, on the verge of tears because I didn't want to sit on someone else's sticky germy gum, put the piece of paper down and sat in my assigned seat.
I now realize he was just being mean because I was too pretty to fly. I mean that has to be it. He didn't have other passengers to worry about, or his job to do. He wasn't just having a bad day, I was just too pretty for him to deal with. He was jealous as one of the girls claim.
All kidding aside, yes stewards and stewardesses can give less then quality service, but these young girls could have been less then model passengers. I highly doubt the FBI has nothing to do with two hours of their time then to question "pretty" girls. According to a report by Janie Porter of Tampa Bay Ten TV Williams admits that she did use profanity towards the passenger who yelled at her for knocking on the bathroom door when he was using the restroom. Who knows what she really said to this passenger. For all we know she could have been screaming profanity during the entire flight and disrupting the other paying passengers.
After the two hours with the FBI there were no charges filed against the two girls. The girls were banned from ever flying Southwest Airlines in the future.

Post a CommentThey are so going to regret this entire incident later on when they grow up. How repulsive and narcissitic is that attitude that some young girls have, thinking the world revolves around them, thinking they are SO beautiful that EVERYONE wants to be them. Pathetic. "They were jealous cause we're young and beautiful and they are old and ugly" I think most 40-year-olds would rather AGE 10 years than get younger just to be like THAT. And I'm only 28 (probably a HAG to them) and feel that way.
BTW sweeties....you might want to get a return flight back to Tampa. You might be considered cute enough THERE, but in CA you are a bit less than average . :)
I think the root of all evil is that we divas evoke such wrath from the jealous. LOL good reporting and funny story. I would have flipped out over the gum and asked if they were willing to pay for cleaning.
