A lot of couples break-up because one of them is over spending. Also, a lot of couples are living pay check to pay check because there are both over spending. I just recently watched a show on the worlds cheapest people, and they were out of debt! A family called the Economides showed this young couple how to stay living the way they are but with coupons! There is a way to do. I am going to list a few things that are signs that you are the over spender in the family. I will also provide you with a short tip right after the effect.
Signs that you are the over spender:
1. If you feel that everything you need to buy has to be name brand. This could include food, clothes and stores. When you buy a can of beans, it will always be a can of beans; you don't have to only buy Green Giant. If you really enjoy Green Giant try and buy your cereals from Wal-Mart, Albertsons rather than your local store. The same goes for anything else, but sometimes other things are better to buy because of quality or taste. Stick to the basic brands for your general foods.
a. For foods, make a checklist and go coupon searching. Coupons are awesome!
2. When you constantly buy things and you already have it. Make sure to check your cabinets and keep track of what you actually need instead of going out and coming back with doubles. This goes for anything.
3. When you have three or more credit cards and they are all close to the limit! You do not need to use your credit card. When you buy something make sure that you have that money in the bank to pay it off. This is a big problem that young adults have when they come out of college. This might sound a little silly, but take two of your credit cards and put them in a bowl and freeze them. If you think about these cards or even try to melt them to get to the card - YOU ARE AN OVER SPENDER
4. When you buy things that are not necessary. For instance, when you go to some shop and come home with a few exotic toys that you needed to get because they were so neat. A tip would be for you to only go to the store to buy things that you need. If I could only stress it enough.
Also, a great way to figure out a budget for your funds if to have a budget and have it in money, because than you could actually see how much money you have left.
