Let's take a look at some of the rude things that people do. As I mentioned earlier, I have been behind people in my car that are having a conversation with somebody either in a car in another lane or on the sidewalk and they just keep talking as if I'm not there. When I blow my horn at them they look back at me with a snarl as if I've done something wrong for wanting to get to my destination. I have held the door open for people and they walked on through and on their way like I'm the doorman at McDonalds. I've let people out of a driveway that I have seen waiting as several cars drive by. I stop, holding the other traffic back while this person comes out of the driveway and go on their and I don't get so much as a hand wave or a toot of their horn. I once had a conversation with a guy who said that if he was in a car and he saw someone that had did him wrong he would shot them. When I asked what if you accidentally shot innocent bystanders, he said to bad. I then asked what if they were kids and he said they shouldn't have been on the street. How rude is that? Besides being willing to murder someone that he conceives done him wrong, he is also willing to murder anyone who accidentally gets in the way because he thinks they should not have been there.
There was a time when people had respect for each or at least pretended to. But now it's all about self. People talking loud on cell phones or having inappropriate conversations in a restaurant when you're trying to enjoy your meal, the unwillingness to give up a seat on the bus to the elderly or handicapped, or the willingness to almost knock a person down in their rush to get to their destination. Will people get ruder as time goes on or will we all come to realize that everybody deserves the respect that we ourselves want?

Post a CommentAccording to a british evolutionary theorist they are called insensates and they are a new human subspecies
Social skills, such as communicating and interacting with others, are lost, along with emotions such as love, sympathy, trust and respect. They are typically prone to fits of unreasonable anger and aggression and what seems like aggressively rude behavior. This species is less able to care for others, or perform in teams.
Physically, Insensates appear more juvenile. Chins recede, as a result of having to chew less on processed food. Insensate IQ and motor skills are profoundly impaired compared to a normal healthy human adult. There could also be health problems caused by reliance on medicine, resulting in weak immune systems. Preventing deaths would also help to preserve the genetic defects that cause cancer.
Unfortunately I feel that we are in a decline as an overall society and it will continue (see media, entertainment) until one day there is a new awakening brought on by a new consciousness or cataclysm. I hope I'm wrong...
I enjoyed reading this and I think you are right. People seem to forget their manners these days.
If a town lost power for about two weeks with no outside help, the people in that toown would become much more civil towards eachother because: a) they would have a common purpose and b) they would not be able to hide within their walls and find electronic entertainment. They would have to rely on eachother for everything:)
