A pregnant woman needs both carbohydrates and proteins in every meal. Ensure that your meal is balanced.
During pregnancy do not gain too much weight. As it is a common myth that you have to eat for two. Remember, that foetus is tiny and you are not eating for an adult. Total weight gain throughout pregnancy should be ideally ten kilos.
