Some Californians may not be ready for these two new laws especially since we are all addicted to cell phones. How hard will it be for people to not use their hand held devices while driving? It may be a bad habit that will be hard for many of use to get rid of. However, once the se two new laws start being enforced many Californians will have to get rid of this habit really quickly. The positive thing is that a lot of us are getting hand free devices like head sets, and blue tubes. Yet, even if you are on a hands free device you are still talking to someone on it and that can still be distracting.
These new laws are being enforced to help all Californians become a better driver, and concentrate more on driving then talking. Many accidents or almost collisions have happened because someone is on their cell phone. People have to start being more responsible about being on the phone when driving. We all have to change our mindsets for us to be ready for these new laws. Getting a ticket is not a good way to change a mindset for these laws. Preventing getting a ticket is a better way looking at these laws.
Instead of driving and talking on Cell phones or hand-free devices Californians need to wait until they are stopped and parked unless it's an emergency. If you do need to talk on the phone, then all of us Californians need to limit their use to a few minutes. If we all start thinking about prevention of cell phone use before these laws take affect then fewer tickets will be given and more drivers will be concentrated on driving instead of talking on the phone. No matter if you are ready or not, these new driving cell phone laws will be enforced.
