Are You Ready to Celebrate Absolutely Incredible Kid Day?

March is the Time to Make the Kids in Your Life Feel Loved!

Terri Beck
Every year we celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day. Well, now it is time for the kids to get a piece of the action. If you have not heard of it yet, there actually is an Absolutely Incredible Kid Day! It was started by Camp Fire USA. Their hopes are that adults will let the kids in their life know how special they are. Sometimes parents and other adults live their lives without telling the kids in their life how appreciated they are.

This holiday was started by Camp Fire USA in 1996. It is always celebrated on the third Thursday in March.

Are you wondering just what you can do to join in on the celebration? You can start by writing a letter! In order to show love and encouragement to the kids you know you should write how you feel. This is the tradition of Incredible Kid Day. Adults write letters to show support to the children they love. You can even write a letter to a child you do not know. You can send and email or just write a little note. The format is totally up to you. Even famous people such as celebrities and former presidents have written letters! You can read the celebrity letters and find out more about the event by visiting the Camp Fire USA website.

The Campfire USA website is a great place to go to get ideas for your letter. The site include letter writing tips, news and ways for you to get involved. You can even print out some Absolutely Kid Day stationery. So all you parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles get to it because Absolutely Kid Day will be here before you know it! Do not forget about those kids that may not have anyone to write them a letter. If you know a child like this then you could be the one to make them feel appreciated.

I think this is a really great holiday. Kids do not get enough positive reinforcement in today's society. If you like the idea of this holiday then make sure you get involved. Even though my little girl cannot read yet I plan to write her a letter anyway. I will read it to her and she can always look at it when she is older and know that I appreciated her!
