The Flu Bug is Here
Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Pennsylvania to name a few. Some good news is that if you did get your flu shot earlier in the season or even recently, the vaccine does appear to be quite effective against this year's strain of bug.
If you still haven't received your flu shot it's not too late schedule an appointment with your doctor, or go to the local county health department.
As always the flu is worse for older people and the very young. Please don't take the flu lightly, over 36,000 people succumb to it annually.
The best defense is like our mothers always told us , wash your hands "a lot" ,cover your mouth if you feel a sneeze coming on. If your sick , stay home and keep your germs to yourself.
The worst is yet to come it should peak in about two weeks. According to health officials.
