On the best Sundays, my favorite days, I bake and watch Brett Favre play football. I also do laundry and other stuff around the hose when it's so very cold outside. ;-).

Everybody loves football and most football fans love SI's Sportsman of the year: Brett Favre ( Sport's Illustrated 12/10/2007. I admire him for so many things: his longevity, his tenaciousness, his athletic prowess his dry sense of humor and his commitment to the game. I wish we had a quarterback like that in Philadelphia. But Brett is a once in a lifetime archetypal guy.

Bake in two greased 8x8 inch square pans or one 8 inch cake pan and one 8x8 inch square pan like I did this morning for variety's sake. Cool in pans. Make two dozen square brownies.
