Are You Slick Enough to Find a Great Deal?

With the economy going under and the price of everything rising, everyone needs a deal. From getting your digital pictures printed to finding a cheap flight to visit relatives, Slick Deals has it all.

I used to consider myself the queen of free. I could get almost anything I needed for free or cheap. I was blown away when I found slickdeals.net. They have deals for almost everything! On the front page of the website, you will find the hottest deals of the day. One day, I was able to order $20 in gift cards from a particular retailer for $10. While I don't need this item, I can use the gift cards as gifts or even to pamper myself. After all, all work and no play, well, you get the point!

My slickest deal so far has been airline tickets. While I wasn't planning on taking another vacation this year, I couldn't resist. My dream has always been to go to Italy. High airfare combined with a weak dollar made me think I wouldn't get there anytime soon. One day, while browsing SD, I read a thread about a particular airline offering round trip airfare from JFK in NY to various European destination for less than $400. Yes, I said round trip. I had to see this for myself. I followed the directions in the thread (this is most important in getting your deals) and sure enough, I was able to get in on the deal.

I have gotten other deals too. They may not seem like much at the time, but you have to save where you can when you can. With gas, groceries and must have items steadily rising, saving $10 today may mean 2 more gallons of gas tomorrow.

Slickdeals.net has many different forums. The Hot Deals forum will take you to deals that could last through the hour, through the day or even the week. You never know. When a hot deal is posted, thousands of people are reading about it and many are taking advantage of it. The deals you find range from toasters to DVD players to hotel rooms. The freebies forum lists freebies. These items are completely free but may require shipping and handling. The coupons forum discusses coupons. This is also a helpful forum. if you haven't tried using coupons, check it out. You are bound to find some helpful hints and tips. If you do use coupons, add this forum to your resource list. There is a contests and sweepstakes forum listing just that. One of my favorite forums is the Drugstore B&M (Brick and Mortar--stores that you have to visit in person) deals. If you don't know about deals at CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and such, you MUST check it out. You won't know how much you could be saving until you do.

The most important part of making Slick Deals work for you is to make sure you register and become a regular contributor. If you find a deal, don't hide it, share it. People like us are what makes Slick Deals what it is. By registering and contributing (even if it is only a thank you), you will make acquaintances.

FreeSampleSite

Another similar site, freesamplesite.com/ydf lists free items and hot deals. This website is similar to Slick Deals, but operates on a smaller scale. They don't have the hottest deals listed on the front page either. I find that Freesamplesite.com/ydf is also a great resource.

Fat Wallet

Last but not least, fatwallet.com is also a great place. It is Slick Deals' competitor. The biggest difference here is that Fat Wallet offers cash rebates when you shop using the links on their website.
