Are Teachers Giving 100%?

don't like this question at all. Teachers need to be giving more than 100%, they need to be giving 150% all the time. Exceptional teachers go way above and beyond the call of duty, and this means giving a lot more than 100%. Some teachers don't even give 95%, and these teachers don't belong in the classroom. Many teachers don't realize the importance of their role, or that their students really look up to him. Most teachers don't realize that they set examples for the students, and that the students follow these examples all the time. These teachers do not give their students the individual attention they need. Teachers like to take short cuts making lesson plans or preparing to teach. Taking short cuts is not giving 100%.

Many teachers teach to the book and don't come up with their own ideas or ways to teach. When you just teach to the curriculum, you are not giving your students your all. The best teachers are the ones who go above and beyond the curriculum. Teachers also tend to only cater to one learning style all the time. If all your students aren't learning, you are not giving anywhere close to 100% or higher.

Sadly, there are many teachers out there who are in the profession for the wrong reasons including job security, job benefits, and the teacher schedule. Sometimes there is also the teacher who happens to fall into the teaching profession. These teachers can't give their students 100% since they don't even really want to be there. This is not fair to the teacher, the students, or the parents at all.

A teacher who gives more than 100% also has the right priorities. These priorities shouldn't be standardized tests, or fitting in the entire curriculum, or meeting important deadlines. A teachers priority needs to be having the students learn, incorporating some fun into learning, incorporating interests and talents into learning, keeping students safe and accountable, and teaching students how to get along with each other.

A teacher who gives over 100% caters to the visual, auditory, verbal, logical, linguistic, and social learning style. With standardized testing being crucial, teachers stick to teaching to the book and spoon-feeding students' answers. Lots of teachers are not devoted or dedicated enough to give even 100%. I have seen that a lot of teachers just don't want to give 100% let alone 150% to their students.
