Room Quality
Forget about your standard "hotel room". The Villas of the Grand Cypress Hotel are so named because the vast majority of the rooms at the resort are "Villa" homes. These can be anywhere from one to four bedrooms, and can involve a vacation home of multiple floors. Most feature a living room, dining room, bedrooms, patios, and private landscaped courts. The design of the rooms is open and airy, and the furnishings are luxurious.
Service
Service at the resort is top notch. The accommodations feature twice daily maid service, including a turn down at night. The staff are friendly and generally seem to care about your stay.
Resort Atmosphere
The resort is, in a word, expansive! The resort covers well over one thousand acres in central Florida. The hotel borders a 45 hole golf course - so if you would like a tropical golf course atmosphere - then this is the place for you. The resort feels very relaxing and doesn't seem to have the bustle that many other resorts in the Orlando area have. Overall the feeling of the place is very relaxing, and a wonderful environment to recharge on your vacation.
Location
The old saying goes that location is everything - and so it is true with this resort. The resort is located just to the north of Disney's property. Even though it is so close to all the Disney magic, because of the seclusion of the resort it feels like you are a million miles away from it all. Access to the resort is easy as it is located right off of State road 535, and is easily accessed from I-4.
Recreation
Foremost among the resorts offerings is the Grand Cypress Golf Course. Designed by Golf Great Jack Nicklaus, there is 45 holes to challenge you. In addition to the Golf, there is also a 9 hole pitch and putt course. For other recreation options there is an equestrian center, a health club, pools, fishing, and so on. There really isn't any major recreation option that is not available to you when you stay at this resort.
When you take the totality of the resort, the service level, the room design, location and other factors, it is clear that this resort is definitely worth $300 per night.
