Are We All Slaves to Money?

Sebastian Thomas
Are we all slaves to money? Have you ever found yourself working so hard every day that you never have enough time for the important things in life like spending time with your family, teaching your kids, gaining new and progressive insightful ideas and actions to progress yourself in this life? What are you gaining from all this hard work and money making?

Electronic numbers in your bank account that fluctuate up and down each month? Hoping that you can maintain it until your retirement or when your kids go to college? They say two incomes is a great way to maintain a healthy and stable financial structure, but in this day and age we have all noticed that even the two income families have found themselves struggling quite a bit.

We are finding ourselves working all the time and barely giving us time for any kind of decent vacation worth remembering. So why do we put ourselves through this you ask me? Because I believe we are blinded by the illusion of work and what it truly entails. The concept of making and competing to make money instead of understanding what life was really intended for. To experience it's sweet intrigues and to know the sweet joy of love that we can share with each other.

I think you're correct in your analysis. The preoccupation with making more and more money can become an obsession. We need to reassess what's really important. Great work!
