Are We Living in the Last Days?

Paul described to Timothy that in the last days people would be,"lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, thankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self control, fierce, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion, but proving false to it's power." 2 Timothy 3: 1-5.

When you look around the world today and view the news, would you not agree that these things are occurring in a prevalent manner all around the world?

Lovers of money.......the love of money has blinded the minds and corroded the hearts of men and women who will do anything to have money and the power behind it. They will look someone in the eye today and steal and kill tomorrow to own something that they did not have a right to own to begin with. People who have worked hard all their lives only to end up destitute causing many to commit suicide.

Disloyal.......Then you have those who have made a promise to their mates before God and witnessed by many loved ones to be with each other "till death do us part." Only to have a lack of self control over their lust and bodies and have babies outside of the marriage. Humiliating their mates with their homosexual affairs and when confronted they deny, deny, deny! This is where the haughtiness comes into play.

Lovers of themselves....never before have we lived in a world where such narcissistic behavior is all around. It's all about me attitude is everywhere and the sad part is that parents instill it into their children at a very early age and these children grow up to be very shallow, selfish human beings.

Without self control......We live in a world where people think about something and act on it as if instinct. The lack of self control contributes to murders of people both young and old. It contributes to the disappearances and abuse of our children and adult both because of people acting on impulses or meditating on evil.

No natural affection.....No parent with true love for themselves or their children would when tired of being a parent just decide to kill their own child. However, everyday we are witnessing this to happen. So I ask you where is the natural affection that a parent has for their child?

Disobedient to parents.....There is no age limit when it comes to being obedient to parents, and just this week the lack of being obedient caused the death of a celebrities' parent.

Lovers of God having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power.......Then there are the ministers that preach about loving and serving God but their actions are totally opposite from what they preach. Everyday so called ministers of God are proving they are only in it for the money. These so called ministers of God are having sex with young children. These so called ministers of God are committing adultery and performing acts of homosexuality. People are committing suicide and taking millions along with them to their death because of their so called "love of God."

We are indeed living in "critical times" hard to deal with. We are indeed living in the last days of this system of things.

Jesus Christ spoke of what to expect in the last days at Matthew 24: 7- 8. "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another."

Why are these things happening, well unlike what some may teach you it is not because of God. Have you ever heard the song, "he's got the whole world in his hand?" Some think they are singing about God, but no this is not true. The one who has the whole world in his hand is someone more evil, sly, conniving, misleading, a liar, cheater and hater of human beings. This evil doer is Satan the Devil, and the bible says that "the whole world is lying in the power of the evil one." (1 John 5:19). When that great war broke out in heaven, he was thrown down here, he along with his horde of demons and he came in great anger, having been humiliated by Jesus Christ and his army of angels, very angry and full of hatred for us. (Revelation 12:9)

When you sit back and think and wonder.....can't see you something evil behind all this chaos that we experience? If not there is a reason for that also. (2 Corinthians 4:4) He influences what we watch, how we dress, how we talk, our love for materialism, love for self..... to put it in a nutshell the works of the flesh. (Galatians 5:19 - 21).

It is not as black and white as Hollywood would want you to believe with their movies, it's much deeper than that. There really is something dark and insidious going on with the spirit world that we can't see but we can feel.

The closer that we get to the end the more devastation wars and earthquakes will cause, the more the death toll will rise. There is nothing mankind can do that will stop any of this from happening! Nothing, bible prophecy must be fulfilled. Because if not that would make God a liar and it is impossible for God to lie. (Isaiah 55: 10 & 11, Hebrews 6: 18)

Bible prophecy must be fulfilled, one can liken it to a woman who has to go through birth pains. Even with the best medication she must have labor pains, but afterwards it was all worth it because the results is a beautiful baby. After all things are fulfilled the results is the beautiful kingdom that Jesus Christ taught us to pray for.

When we do reach the end of the last days, that is when the real war is going to break out and this is not going to be a war between the nations, and this is not going to be a war like they portray on the movies. It is not going to end with a nuclear bomb destroying the world, or aliens from another planet descending on the earth and destroying human beings. This is going to be the Great Day Of the True God when he descends upon all his enemies and those deserving of being reckoned with because ruining the earth, living lascivious lives and not acknowledging that we do have a creator deserving of honoring and being praised. This is when the great day of the True God will be known and the real war begins......Armageddon. (Revelation 16: 16, Revelation 4:11).

So what can we as humans do to cope with all the things that are happening? Recognize and acknowledge that we are living in the last days and search for the True God while you still have time. (Isaiah 55: 7 & 8). That is where you will get your true comfort from and a hope for a real future that will solve mankind problems. (Matthew 6: 9 & 10, Revelations 21: 3 & 4, Psalm 37: 10 & 11).

No human leader no matter how much he would like to solve all mankind problems will never be able to, it was never meant for us to run or govern ourselves. We can only look at history to see that this is so true. (Psalm 146:3, Jeremiah 10: 23).
